Bison is locally owned and based in Overland Park. We started it because the chimney and duct industry runs on things you cannot see, and we think you should.

Most homeowners in Johnson County have never seen inside their own chimney or ductwork. That gap is where bad companies live: the $99 duct special, the "your flue is about to collapse" story, the sweep that takes fifteen minutes and leaves soot in the living room. We built Bison around closing that gap. Every job comes with photos, every price is quoted before we book, and every technician is trained to the published standards, not to a sales script.

Do it to the standard
NFPA 211 for inspections, NADCA source removal for ducts, manufacturer specs for liners and appliances. No shortcuts because nobody is watching.

Treat the house like ours
Drop cloths, shoe covers, corner guards, HEPA vacuums. We leave the hearth and the hallway cleaner than we found them.
Credentials and coverage
- CSIA Certified Chimney Sweep. Kansas does not license chimney sweeps, so CSIA certification is the credential that matters. Our sweeps hold it and recertify on schedule.
- NADCA Member. Our duct cleaning follows the NADCA ACR standard: source removal under negative pressure, never a blower-and-spray.
- Licensed and insured. General liability and workers compensation in Kansas and Missouri. Structural chimney work is done under the Johnson County contractor licensing program. Certificates of insurance on request.
